School Innovation Lab at European School Tbilisi
I with my partner was participant of new educational model creation process at European School Tbilisi, where we created first School Innovation Lab in Eastern Europe.
This laboratory was design as a future school example, where 1-10 grade kids are studying following future specialities:
- 3D Modeling and Printing;
- Industrial Robot Arm programming;
- Artificial Intelligence (AI);
- Electrical Engineering;
- Coding;
- Visual Programming;
- Digital Art;
- Fabrication Laboratory equipment (Laser Cutter, CNC and etc.);
- Drone Programming;
- Entrepreneurship;
In which process I was participating?
- Designing of innovation center infrastructure, which includes the Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab);
- Building of future specialities teaching Program for 1-10 grade students from scratch;
- Analyzing global educational technology tools which are the best to teach mentioned specialities;
- Building of school based acceleration program for idea stage teams who have tech skills;
I'm still managing this center. This management process includes:
- Quality control;
- Planning events (Hackathon, pre-accelerator, TechTalks, Startup Talks and etc.);
- Staff management;
- Working on process development.
This center was opened in September, 2018. We were working on it during the 8 months and created a model that can change a rules of STEAM education and make it better.
Center was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education.
